Blackboard Learning Management System (LMS) is a web-based LMS that provides in-line insights directly to instructors, students, and advisors at every step in the learning journey. It provides a platform for web-based interaction between students and instructors. Thus, lecturers will be able to manage course content, facilitate online learning, and assess student performance. It creates a data-informed approach to education, where courses, content, and delivery can be constantly optimized to help every student achieve their goals, while also integrating a fully online or blended learning environment.
The Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), through its magnanimous interventions, has introduced the Blackboard platform to all tertiary institutions in Nigeria. Consequently, the Management of the Polytechnic, led by Dr. Hauwa T. Muhammed, approved a train-the-trainer workshop for ICT and Faculty staff. The training was conducted on Wednesday, 2nd July, 2025.
This is a clear demonstration of the management’s resolve and commitment to transform the Polytechnic into a 21st-century, digitally-driven educational institution in Nigeria.
